Easy Kitchen Update
We've been in our house for 7.5 years now and have been talking about updating the kitchen ever since we moved in. Originally we thought we would do more involved renovations like moving the location of the appliances, adding more cabinets, and relocating the pantry. But after years of going back and forth we decided to forego our expensive kitchen plans and compromise with a more budget-friendly update. The update included painting all the kitchen cabinets, adding beadboard to the island, and replacing all the existing hardware with un-lacquered brass hardware. We also updated our older kitchen table with paint and these chairs from Ikea. The results are impressive! It's amazing how paint can totally change the look and feel of a room. It is so much brighter with the white cabinets and overall it feels like such a happy space now. In hindsight, I would have painted much sooner since we spend so much time in the kitchen. And of course, I always forget to take good "before" pictures, but here are a few I snapped before we started our kitchen update.
