Our First Camping Adventure!

Last weekend we decided to take advantage of the cooler temps and go on a spontaneous camping adventure!  We loaded up the truck, picked up some dinner at Whole Foods, and headed to our favorite spot about 45 minutes out of town.  The temperature was perfect but it did end up drizzling a little which meant no smores... BUMMER!  But we had fun hanging out in the truck watching Pooh and the gang - it really is the cutest movie ever!  We fell asleep with the window open and the cool, fall air was quite refreshing.  And you will be proud to know that we made it until 5 am!  I think next time we will get an earlier start and enjoy the best part of camping which is roasting marshmallows and then going home to sleep in our own beds ;)  We plan on letting Sienna fall asleep in the truck at least, since she squealed with delight when we were laying out the sleeping bags.  She sure does have her father's love for the outdoors!

Two Sisters' Closet Sale

It's that time of year again!  This will be our 4th Two Sisters' Closet Sale to date!  We didn't have a sale last year so we have two years worth of clothes to sell!  Personally, I'm selling the most items I've ever sold.  There will be dresses, tunics, sweaters, tops, pants, jeans, accessories and more! Every year part of the proceeds go to a special ministry within our church family.  I am really excited about this year's project - can't wait to share it with you after we finalize the details.  If you would like an invite to this year's closet sale, please leave a comment with your email and I will get back to you.  Hope to see you next Thursday!

Nashville Family Fun

{Fannie Mae Dees Park}

Nashville has always been one of our favorite places for a weekend getaway.  It has that big city feel with plenty of kid-friendly activities and restaurants for such a short drive.  We went last month for work but managed to squeeze in lots of fun.  In fact, it was my favorite work trip to date, and Bryant's as well since he was the spotter for the C-17 flyover at the Tennessee Vols game!  Sici's favorite part was a trip to Franklin to see the new American Girl Store.  She loved it!  When she walked into the store for the first time her eyes got real big as she said, "Babydoll!  Babydoll!" I loved our visit to Cheekwood Botanical Garden - it reminded me of the Biltmore in Asheville on a smaller scale.  On our last day we took advantage of the beautiful weather and finally checked the Parthenon off of our list.  It was really impressive!  Definitely worth the stop especially since it was the last day for free admission for military members.
