{Beauty Tuesday} Lengthening Mascaras

We expect a lot out of our mascara.  We have believed the ads that claim our mascara will meet all of our needs.  At least our lengthening, volumizing and curling ones.  With so many choices out there, the trial and error required to find the "perfect" mascara can be overwhelming.  I've determined from all of my mascara purchases that I am most happy with the brands that lengthen my lashes.  I typically go for smooth formulas with no clumps and intense color.  Here are several of my favorite lengthening mascaras... one for every price point!

L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Black; $5.84 at Target

Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black; $14.50 at Macy's

Hourglass Superficial Lash Mascara in Carbon; $26 at Sephora

Anthropologie Fix

One fruit that always makes it on our weekly grocery list is berries.  Most mornings you'll find either blueberries, raspberries or strawberries washed and patiently waiting for the next bowl of cereal or oatmeal.  A too common annoyance in our home is having to throw any of these pricey organic berries out because they weren't eaten soon enough.

Last time I was in Anthropologie I ran across these eye-catching bowls and determined I needed a couple of them for my new "fruit bowls."  They have officially replaced the Tupperware bowls that always seemed to get lost amongst the refrigerator shelves.

And these Mini Latte Bowls were too cute to pass up!  They are just the right size to hold honey mustard or salsa for Mexican night!

Project Green Fork

Recently I've eaten at two lunch spots, Just for Lunch and Cosmic Coconut, where I've seen this logo on the shop window.  Project Green Fork was designed to help cut down on environmental waste and to encourage recycling for local restaurants.  We like to recycle and love local small businesses, so we give PGF a thumbs up!  Go to their website and check out which restaurants are already certified for Project Green Fork and which ones are on their way to being green.

Nueve, Nove, Neuf, Neun

It doesn't matter what language you say it in, nine is significant!  It's the last year before we enter the double digits!  Bryant and I celebrated our ninth wedding anniversary this month and are so thankful for what God has done and is doing in our marriage.

I love finding out the meaning of names and numbers.  I find it very interesting that the name often "fits" the person.  Last year when we celebrated our #8, I looked up its meaning and just loved it.  Eight was "new beginnings."  This year is just as fitting.  Here's to #9... I love you, babe!

nine = marks the finality or end of a matter; the perfect movement of God
